After a stunning release party last Saturday at the Corleone Bar the folks over at ABM089 have now put out the digital release of their MUC 2 PDX Sampler. 12 beats out of Portland, Oregon and 14 beats out of Munich, Germany featuring an underground blend of artists from different backgrounds and genres. Two members of the boiler crew (as in Larkin & The Sky and tom2k) have contributed to this as well. Check out the bandcamp for a completely free download of this beauty or listen to it right here:

Time for some more event propaganda. Coming Saturday it’s time to get crazy in Munich City. Local art collective ‘ALLEZ BESTIMMT DIE MÄUZE‘ (ABM089) will hold down the 2nd edition of their ‘Ratten Casino’ series. Things will happen at the Corleone, you might have heard of this place when checking out Jay Scarlett’s Twis Up Sessions.
The night will feature a bag full of happenings & performances. The main reason to party though is the release of a collaborative music compilation, put together by the gang and a group of artists from Portland, Oregon. The CD features 26 tracks by artists such as Thallus, Roane Namuh, Citymouth, Contramodulator, Tope, Larkin & The Sky, tom2k and many many more. This wonderful collection will of course be available on the web also after the official release jam. Check out this page for updates & links on that matter.
To celebrate all this in proper manner, the contributing producers from Munich were asked to show up and bring their favorite rapper so he or she could rap on the piece (what a chaos). Additionally the man dtunez will hold down a short beat set for that extra livemusic pleasure. To somehow integrate the Portland part in this jam there will be a live stream projected directly on the walls of the bar. NortherDraw, who contributed a beat as well and helped with the cover design, will thus be available to hold down the first interweb event live painting everr. And to round up the night the ABM089 DJ team as in tom2k, LEX, Roboterhund and LAZy LEGz will play their favorite tunes for you.
So come along and enjoy the good times, it’s even free! Coming Saturday the 5th of November, Corleone Bar, Sendlinger-Tor-Platz 7. Doors open from 20h. See ya there if you dare.
Oh my gawwwd. Session #9 was again very special. Comfort Fit came to visit us down south for the first time and the crowd surely appreciated it.
After some opeing vibes by Jay and Swede:art (who popped up more or less spontaneously) the Berlin based beathero rocked out on the little ‘stage’ we put in the middle of the room. Really good vibes as there was no barrier between him and the audience, that sometimes didn’t know wether to headbang to the music or stare at how he pushed his buttons and slammed his faders up and down. The Aftershow was then led by the Bogaloo Crew as in Edgar Strobl and Flo’Alike and another spontaneous performance of returnee Duzz Down San’s feux. Thanks guys!
Upstairs was really interesting as well as we had our little ABM089 session there. Truly a mix of different blends from Italopop and Rap to Reggae and Glitch. Thanks boiz!
Thanks also to Maggie Bahr for the nice photo coverage! Surely caught the essence of it there.
Again thanks everyone for coming out! Hope to see you back in two weeks. Let’s keep this going.
After a really great night with our friend Morgan Zarate (roundup will follow!) we are pleased to announce yet another great artist coming to town: Comfort Fit!
This producer from Frankfurt, Germany has been around for a long time now with several releases on Tokyo Dawn Records and other imprints.
Comfort Fit creates intelligent soundscapes – but never forgets to keep the drums banging!
His versatile influences are ranging from early detroit techno and minimal elektronika to jazz, over to broken beats, hip hop, dance music and many more. This makes it easy for him to invisibly switch between musical styles within a finger-snap, taking the listener onto a long and exciting journey.
He will play one of his infamous livesets, be sure not to miss! Downstairs support will be provided by Jay Scarlett and Edgar Strobl while upstairs the ABM089 boys will have a little gathering and play some chunes for the family.
Come along and enjoy the new!
UPDATE: Just received Comfort Fit’s Boiler Mix. Heavy stuff. Enjoyyy
