Bartellow alias Beni Brachtel; born in 1985. experienced music since being a 0-ager (encountered violin, flute, piano and violoncello by practicing family music). At the age of 11 he started playing the guitar, ab initio in bandcontext. From that time on he develloped his skills mainly autodidactic. At the age of 15 he studied jazzguitar and harmonics with guitarist Martin Scales. After three years private lessions he became youngstudent at the Richard-Strauß-Conservatory with Peter O´Mara. Since Fall 06 studies in Jazzguitar and Composition at the Anton Bruckner-University, Linz, AT, with Peter O´Mara, Christoph Cech, Doug Hammond, Harry Sokal, Andreas Schreiber, Allan Praskin a.o. Since Fall 08 studies in Jazzguitar and Composition at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater (HmT) in Leipzig with Werner Neumann, Ralf Schrabbe, Richie Beirach, Janousz Wozniak a.o.
